Bethlehem Children's School

40 students, co-ed, K-8

Bethlehem Children's School began with a group of parents whose children attended a Montessori pre-school and kindergarten. Their goal was to start an elementary school where children could experience the benefits of a high-quality, child-centered education which used the best of the Montessori 'hands-on' teaching strategies. To this end, BCS features:
  • small class size and very low student to teacher ratios
  • learning motivated by the student's developmental readiness and innate curiosity
  • multi-aged classrooms which allow children to mentor one another
  • individualized instruction with respect for each student's learning style
    hands-on, cooperative learning
  • emphasis on teamwork and conflict resolution
  • critical thinking skills and problem solving

Bethlehem Children's School offers a student-centered learning environment and is committed to providing a quality education for children in grades K through eighth grade. The small class size and low student to teacher ratio promote an atmosphere of learning and discovery which builds upon the child's natural curiosity, to foster a life-long love of learning. Our children love school, and with the dedication and enthusiasm of our wonderful teachers, it's easy to see why!
